Pre-assessment, post-assessment, knowledge checks, and hands-on activity framework β designed to meet WIOA Measurable Skill Gain requirements.
All Six Programs Β· Four-Layer Assessment Framework Β· WIOA Measurable Skill Gain (MSG) Aligned
The AI Straight To The Pointβ’ Workforce Training Program uses a four-layer assessment framework across all six programs and both credential levels. Every assessment instrument is designed to document measurable skill gain between program entry and completion, consistent with WIOA performance reporting requirements for Measurable Skill Gain (MSG) and Credential Attainment. Assessment data is available to workforce case managers upon request.
Administered before the participant begins Lesson 1. Measures baseline AI knowledge, digital literacy, and skill level prior to any training. Establishes the starting point for MSG documentation. Results are recorded and stored for post-assessment comparison. The pre-assessment is not graded for pass/fail β it is used exclusively for baseline measurement and participant self-awareness.
Every lesson includes a brief knowledge check administered after the core lesson content. Knowledge checks verify that the participant understood and retained the key concepts from each lesson before advancing to the next. Knowledge checks are typically 3β5 questions and must be completed to unlock the next lesson in the daily drip sequence. Results are tracked at the lesson level.
Every lesson includes a practical hands-on activity requiring the participant to apply the lesson concept to a real or simulated workplace task using AI tools. Activities produce tangible outputs β a drafted email, a research summary, a resume section, a social media post, a business document β demonstrating applied competency rather than theoretical knowledge alone. Activity completion is required to advance in the program.
Administered upon completion of the final lesson. Uses parallel form assessment aligned to the pre-assessment instrument to ensure valid skill gain measurement. The post-assessment covers competencies from all four phases β Foundation, Core Skills, Implementation, and Optimization. Score comparison between pre- and post-assessment documents Measurable Skill Gain for WIOA reporting. Participants who demonstrate sufficient skill gain and complete all required activities receive their program certificate.
The AI Straight To The Pointβ’ assessment framework is built on a mastery learning model rather than a gatekeeping model. The goal of every assessment is to document what a participant has learned and can do β not to create barriers to completion. Knowledge checks allow unlimited retakes to ensure every participant reaches competency at each lesson level before advancing. Hands-on activities are evaluated for completion rather than minimum quality scores, recognizing that applied practice itself builds skill regardless of initial output quality.
Pre- and post-assessment instruments use parallel forms β different questions measuring the same competencies β to prevent memorization effects and ensure valid measurement of actual skill gain. All assessment instruments are reviewed and updated annually to reflect changes in AI tools, workplace expectations, and WIOA performance reporting requirements.
